Perosnal Environmentalism Trhrough Thriftiness, by Eunice Warden Pretending She is me, with Help From Robert

From long, long time ago, a smart girl prevented global warming by simply doing several things. Not use air conditioner at home; if too hot just use fan then get lots of fun; Fresh and pure feeling gives wholesome emotion.

When driving the car not use air conditioner that much, only turn on when very, very, very hot but only remain on for a few minutes. Mostly, use nature's air from outside, or lower down the window.

Outside working in the yard, if getting too hot, sit at cool place for body to cool down, then work again. In this way, body not feel fatigue so become more strong. Working better, her yard became very pretty, lots of blooming everywhere, lots of green vegetable come out, lots of fruit hanging around, so have more food for family and neighbor or friends.

She treated her clients like her friend or family member, so she had lots of friends. Although she gave up her business, she still had clients always contact with her. Now, she is immigrant to America. Through some coincidence, I met her at church and after long period of challenging time, she is now my dear wife. She would like to save the world, always said the world is very very, very pretty. Thank you almighty God for giving us such a beautiful world. All scenery are charming. Therefore she set a schedule for sightseeing fifty states entire America. Every year, we go to trip using car or using airplane, spent in very inexpensive way. Airplane ticket must be on-sale kind. All the things, food, clothes, using things extra all need to be sale items, stay in motel the least expensive way.

She likes to do lots of donation, so her life is made very low class for her living. Our income is low, and most time I am writing my computer things, only part time teaching, but no matter how hard, she is still very happy because she has learned in this e-stage everything very convenient and knowledgable, easy to get all kinds of information. Some study room always use little light for both of us, then other room completely dark, because nobody there, every energy have to be in control, not waste -- even water still very limited use growing cactus and succulents in dry hill places, for example.

This is Robert here. This description from Eunice brings up an important point -- prosperity tends to bring waste. However, no matter how prosperous, people can still be thrifty and avoid waste, which not only helps save money, it helps save the environment. It is true, we try to avoid using the air conditioner, or uneccesary use of electricity, water, or any other resource. We do not have a lot of money, but even if we did, this would still be the case. We also recycle as much as we can, which our city makes easy by providing us with a gray container for recycling goods such as paper, glass, plastics and metals, as well as a green container for recycling yard waste. I believe that recycling is really the most important key to a future with a sustainable good quality of life. Without efficient recycling, we will soon (at least in geological terms) run out of resources and have to go to the destructive trouble of digging them up again from wherever they have wound up. And remember, recycling includes both organic and nonorganic matter. It may be distasteful, but our sewage is valuable plant food which ultimately, we need to use in order to grow the plants that we all depend upon. This is all part of the web of life from which we cannot escape. Only by being an integral and functioning part of that web, instead of resisting it, can humanity as a whole achieve a satisfactory and sustainable lifestyle which will give us the freedom to pursue our greatest capacities as human beings.
